Naina is a writer, director, disciplinarian and a cat lady who finds her inspirations in the daily lives of people. She enjoys bringing alive such stories by weaving the extraordinary out of the ordinary and drawing attention to the little moments that tend to go unnoticed.
Born and raised in Pune, Naina worked for a reputed production company in Mumbai before she joined the London Film School in 2010, keen to sharpen her technical skills and to learn the art of storytelling through moving images. Her short films, ‘Maya’ and ‘Odh’ have been selected for various international film festivals including the Satyajit Ray Foundation’s Short Film Competition.
Naina has been directing over the last 5 years and has worked with brands like Asian Paints, Tata Tea, Twitter and Google. She is also in the process of writing and developing her first feature film.
